Welcome to the Shire!
Shire Ridge is a small farm of 15 acres nestled amongst the rolling hills of the Appalachian mountains outside Wheeling, West Virginia. The farm is home to a variety of critters: chickens, a donkey, and most notably, Nigerian dwarf goats.
It all began with Samwise the wether, and now the farm has grown into a home for a whole shire-full of sweet, little Nigerian dwarfs. |
The Shire Ridge herd is bred with emphasis on dairy production, proper conformation, and personality. Both quality genetics and human interaction early on in a goat's life are required to form the Nigerian Dwarfs that come from Shire Ridge farm.
The herd is raised under integrated parasite control which includes regular FAMACHA scores. See what's happening on the farm today! Follow us on social media.
